We were challenged, we fought. We were hurt, we healed together. Today marks our second year of being together as bestfriends and as a couple. A testament that we aren’t just any two persons diluted with some happy ever after fairytale illusions. Life will always bring us not problems but trials that we know, together, we will surpass. I’m thankful you let me be the first person to enter your heart and constantly remind me that I woud be the last. Happy 2nd anniversary :)

The leaves are drifting from the trees as the season of fall approaches. The stream which was once glistened with clear water is now empty and stagnant. The ber months were always filled with joyful Christmas lights on the streets but now, where are they. It seems change will always be there, may it be for the worse or better. CHANGE, people always fear this word most especially on relationships. It seems we engulf ourselves with fairy tales and romantic movies that happy endings always exist. Screw them. We fear somebody will cheat on us, leave us for a super hot model. Being cheated is painful but there’s this one thing more frightening, when we fall out of love. The inevitable, irreversible and irrevocable doom. You can’t just fight it, when somebody is done it is DONE DONE. I can’t blame those people, simply because we all arrive at this point were everything is a habit, a regimen. The butterflies you feel, the electrifying feeling when someone says cheezy words, all those things fade away gradually until nothing is left. When the world starts to know about it, they will go crazy doodle on you like “you can’t find another man just like him! handsome, sweet, smart, hot, faithful blah blah don’t leave him blah blah.” and the famous allegation ”you’re cheating aren’t ya!” We always get the villain image.  People just don’t understand, falling out of love is something not out of a choice. As we continue in a relationship we unconsciously drift apart piece by piece until the hole is big enough that we could notice something is not right. The best thing will always be the “timeout” treatment. Give each other space to ponder things alone. The space may last for days, weeks or even years but the sole determinant if you could save your relationship is not how long have you been together or how perfect your man is. The ultimate question; “Am I still happy? Are we still happy?”. Never prolong something out of pity. Tired of it, end it. Sometimes, giving up is the best tool rather than fighting the battle. Remember, even if things are starting to fall apart that’s when God is putting things together just the way he wants it to be.

Meet PaoPao, my Jack Russell Terrier best jog buddy ever! He can run without a leash with you. A friend who would run an extra mile for me :)
